Following the commendable outcome of the 2015 general elections, Senate President, David Mark has issued a word of advice to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as Nigerians look ahead to a better outing in 2019.
Speaking on Tuesday while welcoming his colleagues back to the senate after weeks of election break, Mark advised INEC to take cognizance of the shortcomings of the use of card readers for the conduct of 2015 polls with a view to correct these mistakes in future elections.

The senate president who said the beauty of every contest exists mainly in participation and not necessarily winning, advised all candidates to accept the outcome of the elections whether positive or negative as long as it reflects the wishes of the people and is in the best interest of Nigeria and Nigerians
Mark also praised President Goodluck Jonathan whom he said demonstrated a measure of maturity and sportsmanship by willingly conceding defeat and congratulating the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari before INEC announced the winner.
